Short Descriptions - MCK2812 HV Evaluation Board

BMCK2812 HV (High Voltage) Evaluation Board is designed for high performance DMC systems and is based on Texas Instruments TMS320F2812 DSP. It is a reliable and fast servomotor driver solution, which contains three parts: EVM2812 Board (DSP part), HVD (driver part) and IB2812 (interface part).
MCK2812 HV Evaluation Board can directly connect with one or two DC brush/brushless servomotors, AC asynchronous motors, AC permanent-magnet synchronous servomotor and stepper motor to form a digital servo motion control system

Features - EVM2812 Evaluation Board

  • Power supply: 80~260 VAC/DC, maximum peak value current 15A, output power up to 2KW, alternative driver module output power up to 5KW
  • Uses IPM module, with over-current, over-voltage, under-voltage and over-heat protections, PWM frequency up to 20KHz
  • On-board 60W rebounding power switch , able to supply large current resulting in a safer system
  • 8 channels of isolated output, which meet customer's basic requirements for power supply
  • High speed optocoupler for electrical isolation, isolation rate =15KV/s to insure a high degree of isolation
  • 4 independent IPM power supplies to prevent damage from bootstrap recharge
  • Input interface for incremental photoelectric encoder signals and Hall sensor signals
  • Hall effect current sensor to insure the accuracy and isolation of current sampling, feedback interface for current/velocity/position feedback loop
  • Uses non-inductive absorbing capacitor to eliminate surges and spikes caused by DV/DT effectively protecing IPM
  • On-board filter to reduce EMI interference according to FCC-15 standard
  • May connect with DC brush/brushless servomotor, AC asynchronous motor, AC permanent-magnet synchronous servomotor and stepper motor to form a digital servo motion control system when operating along with EVM 2812 Board

Features - IB2812 Interface Board

  • On-board TMS320F2812 DSP, 32-bit fix-point Flash DSP, operating at 150MHz
  • 128K*16 bits on-chip Flash program memory, Flash encryptable
  • 18K*16 bits on-chip SRAM
  • 256K*16 bits extended SRAM as program/data RAM (upgradable to 512K*16 bits)
  • 8K words (16K bytes) extended EEPROM as parameter ROM, with SPI interface
  • 4 channels of 12-bit extended DAC sync output with SPI interface
  • Standard RS232, CAN communication interface
  • On-board VL-Bus, data/address/control connections and special function pins connections
  • On board IEEE1149 JTAG interface for real-time emulation
  • Power supply: 5 ± 10% VDC
  • Customed designed A/D power supply and A/D reference voltage to insure the accuracy of A/D sampling
  • Interface with IB2812 to realize keyboard and display panel
  • Two independent MCBUS designed for motion control system; form a complete digital servo motion control system by interfacing with one or two L/HVD (Low/ High Voltage Driver) boards to drive one or two motors

Features - IB2812 Interface Board

  • To evaluate the extended keyboard interface and display panel interface of TMS320F2812DSP chipset
  • Able to operate with EVM281 via MCBUS
  • 6 channels of PWM output (PWM1-6 for MCBUS of Event Manager A, PWM7-12 for MCBUS of Event Manager B)
  • 6 I/O of I/O PORTB to push button keys and LEDs
  • CAP input
  • 8 channels of A/D input either AD0-7 or AD8-15
  • Special purpose chip with SPI interface to administer the nixie tube display and push button keys
  • Power supplied by EVM2812 board
